RANSOMWARE

Mantle & Zerto

Distributed storage and immutability are playing more of a critical role in fighting against ransomware. Ransomware is a type of malware that encrypts a user's files and demands payment in exchange for the decryption key. This type of attack is becoming increasingly common and can cause significant harm to individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Mantle SDS complements Zerto’s Extended Journal Copies with secure, distributed Ransomware-Proof storage. Take advantage of infrastructure sovereignty by sending parsed copies to multiple immutable S3 compatible cloud-based repositories with a simple change to a few lines of code.

RANSOMWARE

Scality & Zerto

Ransomware is a type of malicious software designed to infect your infrastructure and encrypt your data until a sum of money is paid. The threat from ransomware is a major, ubiquitous concern. Attacks are increasing in frequency, scope, and sophistication.

Together, Scality —through Artesca and Ring products— and Zerto combat these attacks by supporting data immutability through the Amazon S3 Object Lock capability, which prevents data from being deleted or overwritten, thereby thwarting ransomware attacks.

OBSERVABILITY

Zerto & Elastic

There are multiple factors involved in fully protecting applications. Observability and detection, two key tools for proactively combating ransomware, are essential in any disaster recovery (DR) toolbox.

Zerto has teamed up with Elastic, a cloud-native enterprise search application, to provide an unmatched DR offering that protects mission-critical applications.

On one side, Zerto simplifies the protection, recovery, and mobility of on-premises and cloud applications with continuous data protection (CDP), giving you industry-leading RPOs and RTOs. On the other, Elastic delivers cloud-native enterprise search, observability, and security solutions that enhance customer and employee search experiences.

Together, these powerhouse applications unite to keep your mission-critical applications running smoothly and protect you against cyberthreats.

RANSOMWARE

Zerto & Nebulon

Protecting virtual infrastructure is only one half of the recovery puzzle. To protect physical data centers, Zerto has partnered with Nebulon, the first and only combined server and storage solution that enables near-instant recovery of the entire physical infrastructure.

Its smartInfrastructure software provides critical enterprise data services, like encryption and snapshots, enabled via a server-embedded services processing unit (SPU). Because the SPU sits in a separate security and fault domain from the server, ransomware on those servers cannot encrypt the physical drives. This ensures reliable recovery of your operating system and application data.

VISIBILITY

Zerto & Grafana

Zerto eliminates the risk and complexity of modernization and cloud adoption across private, public, and hybrid deployments.

Grafana is a multi-platform, open-source analytics and interactive visualization web application. It provides charts, graphs, and alerts for the web when connected to supported data sources.

Combined, these two solutions provide the Zerto Resiliency Observation Console (zROC), a Docker Compose–based software stack that allows you to observe standard Zerto API data in a comprehensive and insight-driven dashboard via Grafana.

These powerful insights enable immediate action against any disruptions that may arise.

SECURITY

Zerto & Thales Luna HSM CipherTrust Manager

The need to protect sensitive data has never been greater. Organizations continue to migrate to virtual data centers and cloud environments while dealing with the persistent threat of data breaches. Regulatory demands, such as PCI/DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, GLBA, and SOX, will continue to proliferate.

Thales, with its CipherTrust Data Security Platform and Luna Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), partners with HPE and Zerto, to provide enterprise data protection solutions for Zerto customers, with centralized key management and encryption for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

CONSOLIDATION & CLOUD ADOPTION

Zerto & Device42

Mergers and acquisitions (M&As) are realities in every industry. While they can rapidly build strong organizations with key strategic advantages, they also create big challenges for IT teams managing virtualized workloads such as VMs.

It’s no longer an option to simply put off IT consolidation and right-sizing isolated silos after a merger or acquisition.

Not only this, but the acceleration of cloud adoption in both the private, public, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployments has introduced new complexities for IT. Cloud migration presents organizations with myriad challenges across organizational, personnel, and technical facets.

Together, Zerto and Device42 provide a comprehensive way to discover, manage, and migrate your VMs to, from, and between data centers and the cloud.

SUSTAINABILITY

Zerto & Device42

The data center can be described as "dirty"—well, in a sense. Outside of manufacturing, IT is now considered one of the major sources of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and power consumption. As such, across the globe, new sustainability disclosure standards are coming into effect. Chief information officers are going to be looking to their IT teams for the most effective ways to reach their net zero goals and meet sustainability regulations.

In combining Device42’s IT Discovery and Sustainability Insights capabilities with the fully automated and orchestrated migration solution with Zerto, IT admins have an easy way to both discover, monitor, and move their virtualized workloads to a "greener" configuration or the public cloud helping them along in the race towards carbon neutrality.
