Masterfully Manage Your Zerto Environment

Manageability Improvements: Simplify and Automate

Time is a precious resource when it comes to protecting your critical data and applications, which is why Zerto Virtual Replication prides itself on its simplicity and ease of use.  Managing your Zerto environment is now easier-than-ever with Zerto Virtual Replication 5.5.  Automation of the Virtual Replication Appliance (VRA) upgrade process as well as additional Journal resilience streamlines maintenance windows and simplifies Virtual Protection Group (VPG) management.

VRA Auto Upgrade

Virtual Replication Appliances (VRA) are now upgraded automatically, as part of the upgrade flow. When upgrading your Zerto Virtual Manager (ZVM), you now have the option to auto-upgrade your VRAs in tandem, dramatically simplifying and streamlining upgrade cycles.

Reduce maintenance windows with automatic, in-place upgrades
Option for Auto-upgrade applied on all VRAs when selected
No delta sync upon VRA driver upgrade
One upgrade process for both ZVR components
Respond quickly to ever-changing IT environments

How Does it Work?

Launch ZVM upgrade file
In the upgrade wizard, select “Auto-upgrade Virtual Replication Appliances (VRAs)
VRA upgrades begin automatically upon completion of ZVM upgrade
Check “Open the Zerto Virtual Manager Interface” to continue monitoring VRA upgrades

Increased Journal Resiliency

Zerto Replication 5.5 features robust handling of environment changes, including the removal or deletion of VMs from Virtual Protection Groups (VPGs). Empower your business with improved recovery options during these events and become even more confident in your resilience strategy. Use roles and permissions of hypervisor management products as a first line of defense against impactful events.

Replication paused and all VMs recoverable when a VM is removed from hypervisor inventory
VPG history kept when a VM is removed from a VPG
A removed VM that reappears is identified and replication continues automatically
History is retained when a protected VM is removed from vApp in VCD
Additional user notifications and event logs for each instance
