Aaaand it’s a wrap!! VMworld Barcelona has come to an end…and what a show it was! I personally have been part of the Zerto team covering VMworld in Europe since 2015, and I have to say that it is great to see the continuous (no pun intended) rise in the amount of attention we get and the quality of conversations we have at this show.
We had a lot to be excited about and to share with attendees about Zerto 7.0, slated for release in early 2019. VMworld Europe once again confirmed for us that Zerto is moving in the right direction, and that customers and prospects alike are looking forward to changing the way they protect their environments.
Here’s the highlights of each day of VMworld Europe!
Tuesday Nov. 6:
The Zerto booth was very popular and we welcomed over 1250 attendees to talk about the Future of Backup! In just one day we garnered 75% of the total visitors we had last year — an incredible feat and a sign of how much Zerto is resonating in the market.

Later that day we organized a special VIP event for our customers which included a guided tour of Camp Nou, a toast on the football field, and dinner at the presidential box in the stadium. It’s great to spend time with our customers, and intimate events like this really give us the opportunity to have quality conversations.
Red-Wednesday Nov. 7:
Red-Wednesday has become a Zerto tradition at many of the large events we attend. The Zerto team passed out hundreds of red t-shirts and encouraged attendees to wear them and gather around our booth at a set time. We dominated the Solutions Exchange with red, red, and of course…red. We, once again, broke our record of last year (this is becoming a trend) and had over 125 attendees dressed in our stylish red t-shirts and awaiting our amazing grand prize drawing.
Thursday, Nov 8:
The final day of the Solutions Exchange (and typically the day where many people recover from the VMfest of the night before) proved that those who stay for the finale reap the rewards. Though there are fewer people engaging at the booth, you can be sure that each person there is genuinely interested in learning more. Those quality conversations were in-depth and allowed us to go deeper into their specific use-cases and asks. With that being said, I’d take our Quality-over-Quantity day over any other day for sure!
VMworld Europe had the same overall theme as the earlier VMworld US in August: “Change begins with you.” It was great to see that people seeking out and embracing change in data protection. They are ready to embrace a world that offers their businesses and customers CONTINUOUS, uninterrupted experiences. I can’t wait to help them make this desire a reality!
