Freshly back from the enchanting city of Barcelona, I’m already counting down the days until next year’s VMware Explore. Undoubtedly, VMware Explore stands out as one of my favorite events of the year. Zerto has etched its name in history with its swift RPOs and RTOs, showcasing its best-in-breed metrics that continue to impress our VMware customers even today.

While basking in the lively atmosphere of the event, one dominant theme echoed throughout our booth discussions – ransomware. Though ransomware has dominated conversations in the data protection sphere for quite some time, stories of recent outages due to this threat still circulate. The joy of demonstrating Zerto’s capabilities at these events is unparalleled, witnessing firsthand the awe on people’s faces as they grasp the potential of our product in solving various business challenges.

In light of ransomware taking center stage, I took great pleasure in showcasing Zerto’s groundbreaking ransomware encryption detection feature. By seamlessly integrating real-time detection and protection, this feature provides organizations with early warnings of potential encryption events almost in real-time. The feedback from each demo was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees envisioning diverse ways to leverage the extensibility of the Zerto platform for triggering actions upon detecting suspicious activities. Witnessing minds at work on how this could positively impact their response strategies was truly incredible.

A colleague and I hosted a riveting session on the Zerto Cyber Resilience Vault, a roundtable discussion that garnered so much interest we had to accommodate an overspill. The conversation delved into the technical design aspects of the vault, its architecture, and the rationale behind crucial decisions. Attendees appreciated that it comes as a pre-built bundle, ensuring every facet of the vault is acquired together in a validated design, installed by HPE professional services. This not only saves time and resources but also ensures accurate installation and configuration, crucial for achieving the full air gap and isolation.
