Zerto Cloud Continuity Platform™
Bringing Choice to IT Departments Everywhere
For many of our customers, Zerto Virtual Replication has evolved from a point product for disaster recovery into a critical component of their IT business strategy. Because Zerto products allow for choice between hypervisors, storage providers and clouds (both public and private) customers are able to decide which data center or cloud service best suits their business requirements. The underlying infrastructure technology is not as important as the service level requirements.
More than DR: The Evolution of Zerto Virtual Replication
Based on Zerto Virtual Replication, which encompasses the four key components that are critical to the future of data mobility and protection, Zerto recently unveiled its vision for cloud continuity, including:
- A robust transport layer for data and applications
- Orchestration of the mobility of complex applications
- Encapsulation of all of the dependencies that are part of an application
- Production-level tools for the highest service levels of data mobility and protection
The Zerto Cloud Continuity Platform enables seamless flexibility and manageability of data and applications whether they reside on-premise, at any cloud service provider or on combination of both, known as ‘hybrid-cloud’. The premise behind Zerto’s vision of the data center is one in which all applications have the ability to span across on-premise and cloud data centers, and can be managed and accessed from anywhere. Zerto specializes in the mobilization and protection of workloads while encapsulating and preserving application dependencies such as boot order, IP configuration and more.
The Future of the Data Center
The Zerto Cloud Continuity Platform is designed at its core to be powerful enough to support current virtualization infrastructures, yet be flexible enough to include whatever comes next – like Azure, SaaS and containers.
With every new version released, Zerto Virtual Replication adds support for hypervisors and public clouds, growing Cloud Continuity and completing the vision. In Zerto Virtual Replication version 4.0, we added AWS public cloud as a DR and migration target and added Hyper-V as a supported hypervisor. Future versions will continue to add more platforms, more options and more choice for IT departments.
