    • One Vcenter for all ESXi host but one

Dear All, I’m starting to implement a Zerto infrastructure to migrate 50 VMs from different ESXi hosts on different locations. The status is that the only Vcenter available has the many ESXi hosts, from these locations, directly connected (under many Datacenters), but only one (or a couple of ESXi hosts) are not managed by the […]

    • best practices 7.5

Just looking for best practices when it comes to updates. We have received a notification to update to 7.5 Patch 1 but I wanted to know if this should be applied on the DR site first and then production or the other way around? Also, does the update require any system downtime? When updating, will […]

    • Delta Sync Bitmap Sync

We want to preseed volumes for VPGs. Does it go through delta sync or bitmap sync? We recently did an upgrade a version of Zerto without Vmotion. We have seen that a 2TB machine went into delta sync after VRA upgrade. It took 3 days to complete the delta sync. Was it unusually long. Other […]

    • long term retention recovery question

We want to be able to use a tape backup of retention files restored to a different server to see if this works. If the long term retention storage dies unexpectedly, can I point the Zerto restoration to a new retention location to recover a server?

    • Security Scanner reporting sql is old version

Our security team has flagged the embedded sql server as being out of date and wants us to upgrade it. Is there any recommendation or documentation around if this is even possible or is the security scanner wrong? They say: According to its self-reported version number, the installation of Microsoft SQL Server on the remote […]

    • Download legacy/historical versions

I did a quick search of the forums and didn’t see anything, so apologies if this has been discussed before.  There used to be a place to download older versions of the software.  Does anyone know if this still available somewhere? For example, 7.0U3 released a couple days ago, and I need to download 7.0U2 […]

    • Proper Shutdown of VPG VM

One of our sites that has a number of protected VMs is being shutdown for extended facility maintenance. We have no plans to execute a failover as the business will be closed, but we were wondering if there was a proper procedure that should take place in Zerto before we shutdown the facility. Are you […]
