    • Multipathing support

So, I’m looking at the Zerto Virtual Manager Hyper-V Administration Guide, version 6.0 Rev01-U1 Mar2018. There’s a curious statement on page 261: Zerto Virtual Replication does not support multi-pathing. That’s a pretty blanket statement, and as written would seem to make Zerto unsupported in any highly-available Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN environment with Hyper-V. That […]

    • Using Zerto to migrate VMs from ESX 5.5 to 6.5\6.7

I have an existing Zerto environment on vSphere 5.5U3 and I want to migrate the VMs to another environment on 6.5 or 6.7. It seems that the replication should continue to work between the 5.5 and 6.5\6.7 hosts. Anything I need to look out for   Thanks, Miguel

    • Zerto Support for VMware NSX?

You can get the VMware explanation of NSX here: https://pubs.vmware.com/NSX-6/index.jsp#com.vmware.nsx.admin.doc/GUID-10944155-28FF-46AA-AF56-7357E2F20AF4.html My question is does Zerto currently support NSX, and if so, are there any particular ‘gotchas’ or issues to be aware of?

    • Can Zerto exclude disks for replication?

I am trying to figure out if Zerto can completely ignore certain disks on a protected VM.  We have database backup dump devices that we do not want to replicate.  I realize there is a temp flag that can be set that will not replicate changes after initial sync but from the documentation I have […]

    • Opening firewall ports on ZVM

It appears that windows updates or windows admin policy settings  wiped out my firewall settings on one of my ZVM’s.  I am looking for the steps to manually open the ports back up.   The server is Windows 2012R2. I have the list of ports but when I go into the firewall I don’t know […]

    • Zerto for IBM Cloud

Hi everybody, I am looking for more information regarding the implementation of Zerto for IBM Cloud, because I have not found any technical document that mentions the guidelines, installation, or quickstarts. I understand that it is quite based on the implementation of Zerto for VMware but I am not clear about what I could need […]

    • Using the REST API to gather event data

Hi, can anyone point me towards more resources on using the REST API in Zerto for event collection? Has anyone written anything to suck this stuff out and generate alerts. Are there any 3rd party tools which will plug into this API for alerting/monitoring.     Any pointers welcome. Adam.

    • Powered Off VMs and alerts

So recently we had to migrate some VMs to a different Host in vCenter. Afterwards I received a couple of alerts for VMs that had been powered off. Does Zerto monitor and alert for powered off VMs or only those that have been deleted? Part 2. If a VM is powered off then it can […]
