The replication between sites was broken. The source disk size was increased. When attempting to recreate a new pairing I would like to use the disk at the target site to preseed; However, the size does not match the source. Can I attache the disk to a VM, increase the size to match the source […]

question: Remote site to remote site replication
I am being asked by mgmt to see if Zerto can replicate servers from a remote office to another remote office using the ZVM located in the Datacenter. My assumption is that it can not without having another ZVM deployed in one of the remote sites.

Many VPGs in Bitmap Sync
Since a few days we have the problem that many of our VPGs are in Bitmap Sync and seems to be stuck in this state. Our VRAs already have 4 vCPUs and 8 GB of Memory because of another problem we had. Some VPG States are on “VRA Communication Problem” and some are on “Network […]

ZVM resilience/HA
Once we are doing local protection, lets assume to other SAN, what are the options to make the ZVM resilience as well? In case the main SAN failure, the vcenter will continue to work since it has HA and will have secondary replica over the 2nd SAN. But what about the ZVM? I think that […]

Is it possible to keep checkpoints after failover
Posting this on behalf of Marcin.W Did a mini-DR test yesterday and one of the VMs turned out to have a problem after the VPG was already committed and we had to recover it from backups. I probably already know the answer but is there a way to somehow keep the checkpoints after doing a […]

Hi, We’re planning to a failover test (vmware to vmware), once the DR copy is online – we plan to shutdown the source ESX hosts for a maintenance window. I want to confirm that the failover test won’t auto stop once the source hardware is offline, we want to keep the DR test VM running […]

Zerto replication – Preseed
I was wondering if there is a way to pre-seed VPGs. We have 28 VMs which is about 10TB or data that we will have trouble performing initial synch. I was hoping we can copy the VMs to portable media and then mail the drive to the recovery site.

Journal Reverse Replication Commit
When initiating a “Failover” from Production site to our DR site (with reverse replication selected and committed), I notice that the reverse replicated disks are moved to a Zerto subfolder (from their original folder) but still on the same CSV volume that they where previously on – which is good. I also notice that the […]
