    • Frequent VPG Bitmap Syncing

Recently a couple of my VPGs are frequently showing a state of bitmap syncing and it takes several hours to recover.  The reason given (when I click on the ?) is Protected VRA congestion.  I don’t believe it is being caused by WAN congestion as the WAN traffic graphs show bandwidth utilization well below the […]

    • Multiple Lockdown Mode Events in ESXi hosts

I see Change Lockdown Mode Events on my ESXi hosts every day post 12 AM EST which is basically testing ZVM connectivity to hosts. Is there any logging on the ZVM servers which can determine what is happening during lock down mode on the ESXi hosts. Does it do enable strict or Normal Lock down […]

    • About initial synchronization processing time

I want to measure the throughput during initial synchronization. Does the actual capacity of the target machine affect the initial synchronization processing time? Or does the reserved capacity of the target machine affect the processing time of the initial synchronization? UseWanCompression is set to false.

    • How do you resolve disk space discrepancies?

Zerto/vSphere is reporting one of my volumes as full and therefore cannot write to journal disk.  However, my array (HPE Nimble) reports that there is free space.  I understand that this is at least partially due to the array compression but vSphere doesn’t account for that.  It just sees a full volume.  This is happening […]
