Problem Evacuating Host/VRA with GUI alert “There are no allowed datastores for recovery host”

Viewed 777 times

Summary

When replicating to a VCD site, a user may be unable to evacuate a host when one of the VMs is mapped to a datastore that is not allowed in Site Settings-->Cloud Settings-->Datastore Configuration--> Provider Datastore on Zerto Virtual Manager.

Root Cause

The is a VM not configured to be allowed on a recovery datastore.
As the error is in validation, a task may not be associated and may only be seen via GUI logs.

Symptoms

When under Evacuate VRA wizard, under the "Target Host", there is a "red" X and when hovering, it will state:

"There are no allowed datastores for recovery host"

Under Site Settings-->Cloud Settings-->Datastore Configuration--> Provider Datastore on Zerto Virtual Manager, the datastore that the VM is replicating to does not exist.

Solution

Identify any VMs that is replicating to that VRA where there are datastores not configured under the Provider VDC datastore under Site Settings.

Another way to identify this will be to contact Zerto Support and provide a log bundle.
