    • Retrieving ‘Protected Network’ for a NIC in a VPG

I have spent some time on this and cannot seem to see anyone in the swagger API where it retrieves the ‘protected network’ property that shows what network settings of the VMs Nics are at present. NOT ITS FAILOVER OR TEST NETWORK. The reason I want to query this is because I want to iterate […]

    • Azure AD as IdP

Has anyone set up Azure AD/Entra ID as their IDP?  I reviewed the documentation for using ADFS/SAML but my identify management SME is specifically asking for the process of using Azure AD or Entra ID.  I’m not sure how different the two processes are.   I am referring to use it within 10 u1.

    • Forums can be great…

for both customers and suppliers. As a guy whose been doing the VMware thing since 2004 I feel that one of the most valuable sources of information is VMware’s community forums. I can often find answers there must faster than if I put in a support ticket. I think suppliers (in this case Zerto employees) […]

    • Wrost version ever

Upgrading to Version 10 (Container based) has been the most disappointing major update I’ve experienced in over 25 years. This version has significantly regressed Zerto’s stability and reliability, setting it back by a decade. After using Zerto since Version 5, we have now reached a point where we can no longer trust the product.

    • copy BIOS UUID

Does the “or incoming replication, copy the BIOS UUID of the protected VM to the recovered VM” setting work with existing VPGs, or only for new VPGs created after the setting was put in place?  Does it work for test failovers, or just live failovers?

    • Read-only access to API?

Hi, For monitoring purposes, I’d like to access the API of Zerto with read-only privileges. Is this possible? And if yes, can I have a detailed procedure for doing it? We’re running the ZVMA (Linux) 10.0_U3 and I already have a Python script (inspired by this script) working but the “client” in KeyCloak has admin […]

Our security team does vulnerability scanning. Every VRA in our environment is reporting this Linux SSH vulnerability called Terrapin. What are the plans for resolving this issue. I cannot find any Zerto documentation on it.

is there any clear info on how zerto zcm on prem https login works with AD?  it looks like its managed by the local server (attached to an active directory domain) and to vmware vcenter.  but is there a way to limit who logs into the web admin portals?  it looks like if if several […]

    • MSCS shared fail over disk protection

Hello, I have an MSCS with a shared disk,  configured on a VMWare VVOL using Pure as our backend storage. (similar to the way RDM was used to create shared disks).  Will Zerto protect my cluster?  I was told the RDM method of cluster shared disk was not supported. Thanks, Rob Bell

One of my customers asked if I could change the vra vm default ssh port. I am wondering if there is a possibility of problems occurring if I change the ssh port from 22 to another number in the sshd_conf file on the vra vm.

    • VCF on Dell VxRail

Does anyone have experience with VCF running on Dell VxRail, with Zerto installed?   We recently found out that there is a known issue for VCF and vLCM and Zerto.   But VxRail doesn’t use vLCM for it’s upgrade process.   It uses the VxRail Manager to update hosts.    Wasn’t sure if the vLCM issue will occur […]

Hi Is it possible to do a Many-to-One replication with Zerto? I’m pretty sure it’s possible, but there does not appear to be much in the way of documentation or reference architecture. It would be much appreciated if anyone cone point me in the right direction.   Thanks in advance, DJ
