    • Issues post failover testing

We performed a DR test last week. During the test and afterwards we experienced a lot of issues that appear to be related to disk corruption (ie: corrupted files, volumes, databases, etc). We used the move option for testing as I wanted to make sure we didn’t lose any data. While moving out to our […]

    • Azure NSG Rules

Zerto provides the following KB.  https://www.zerto.com/myzerto/knowledge-base/azure-endpoint-access-required-for-a-zca-running-zerto-for-azure/  But it does not translate to a Service Tag, so we can ensure NSGs are properly configured.  Does anyone know what NSG rules need to be in place for the install to work?  I know about the firewall/NSG rules for replication between ZCA, but fighting with the ZCA>Azure.

    • The support process

This is general feedback here and I hope folks at Zerto take the time to consider this carefully. We are a service provider in the US. Our clients are busy and so is our support staff. I understand you want separate cases for differing issues. Like if we have a problem VPG that is fixed […]

    • Stop registration in DNS during failover testing

Hi we have vm servers replicated using Zerto. All the servers are registered in DNS. When we do a failover testing these servers in bcp site autoregister in DNS creating issues for production. Is it possible to stop the auto registration in DNS during failover testing.

    • Powershell VPG mgmt has unexpected results

      First of all, this script doesn’t update $_.Recovery.DefaultFolderIdentifier like it was meant to. Second, it removes $_.Recovery.DefaultDatastoreIdentifier even if I try to put a value. Can anyone tell me what’s going on? $BaseURL = “https://zvm_ip:port/v1/” $VPGListUrl = $BaseURL+”vpgs” $VPGList = Invoke-RestMethod -Method GET -Uri $VPGListUrl -Headers $ZertoSessionHeader -ContentType $TypeJSON $VPGIdentifier = $VPGList[0].VpgIdentifier $JSONIdentifier = @{VpgIdentifier […]

    • Beware if making your journal too small

Zerto is great but recently when we needed it most it failed us. Zerto replicates in real time and within xx seconds the remote site has an up to date replica so in the event of a failover, it can bring up the server. But, there is a major flaw. We have a server that […]

    • ZVRA Storage DRS

Hi, Zerto introduced SDRS compatibility while ago. Can anyone tell me how VM Overrides should be set up against ZVRAs with Storage DRS set to run Fully Automatic and keeping VMDKs together? I see mixed settings across my storage clusters. Some VRAs have Automatic level set to fully automatic and to override keep VMKs together […]
