2024 Predictions for Data Protection and Recovery
To meet the challenges to data protection and recovery that we are expecting in 2024, your plans must go beyond a shift in tactics and technology. From ransomware and cyber threats to changes in how the cloud may present data protection challenges, there is a clear need for a solid disaster recovery and cyber resilience strategy. And the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to intensify the threat landscape even further.
Ransomware/Disaster Recovery – As security teams continue to bolster methods to fend off attackers, threat actors have intensified inventive ways of circumventing them.
Artificial intelligence (AI) - Evolving AI technology will empower business in compelling ways. But it also empowers bad actors with unprecedented tools that enable sophisticated attacks such as Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), AI-powered malware, phishing, and the menacing realm of deepfake assaults.
Cloud/Data Protection – Many customers are moving data sets back to an on-premises environment from the cloud as they have found themselves challenged with either not having the appropriate skills to effectively manage and secure the data, or with moving over incompatible workloads.
