We need to maintain the UUID of a server. A SW application license key is tied to the UUID. I see there is a global setting to copy the BIOS UUID of the protected VM. The question is, if I enable the feature will it affect all existing VPGs, just new VPGs, or just VPGs that are failed over to the recovery site while the feature is selected? For example, is it possible to enable the ???copy the BIOS UUID??? feature, fail the server to the recovery site and then disable the feature without affecting the other existing VPGs? That setting is indeed global, but it will not affect VPGs until they are failed over. Theoretically, you can set it, Failover, then uncheck it, so it will only take effect for the VPG you Failover.
