I’m trying to determine what the impact of cloning a 20TB VM will have on the datastore. Dedupe is enabled on the datastore so the expectation is that because this is a clone, there will be little impact on the datastore size. The size of the VM is larger than the datastores free space (currently, we are working on freeing more space), and thin provisioning is enabled.
Am I right in expecting little impact on the datastore size with the clone option in Zerto? All other VMs we’ve moved using this process have been a lot smaller so it’s been difficult to determine impact using them as an example.
