Esx Maintenance Mode

    I want to know why all my VPG attached on a VRA are not assigned to another one when I put an esx in maintenance mode.

    It depends on if the VRA acts as a recovery host or a protected host.

    If it’s a protected host, the protected VMs will be vmotioned off the host before the host entered maintenance mode. If the protected VMs vmotioned to a host without VRA, the replication would stop for the VM.

    If it’s recovery host, please perform Change Recovery Host for VMs replicating to the host before putting the host into maintenance.

    In order to minimize the impact on the replication for host maintenance, please refer to page 278 in the Admin Guide for more details.
