failover test network creation

  • Hi, we’re testing Zerto 9.7 in a vSphere 7.0.3 environment with two sites and we use dvSwitches.

Looking for what people are doing to create a failover test network in VMware on a dvswitch , or another solution?

Some of the examples online are old and only talk about std switches.

    Thanks

I still use the practice of creating an isolated VLAN on the switches and just tag that VLAN to the DVS Port-Group for my test networks.  Not perfect, but it works.

    Thanks Mike,

I was thinking along the same lines but am looking for other possible ideas.

    Hi rice purity test

To create a failover test network in VMware on a dvSwitch in a vSphere 7.0.3 environment with Zerto 9.7, you can consider configuring a dedicated port group on the dvSwitch for failover testing purposes. This allows you to isolate the test network traffic while utilizing the benefits of dvSwitches.
