ZVM working on vCenter Essentials

    Hello,

    I was wondering if ZVM could be installed in a vSphere Essentials environment, awaring the vcenter has some limitations.

    Hi Roberto,

    All Zerto needs is a vCenter (or SCVMM but not applicable here) managing at least one ESXi host. Whether that is an essentials kit or anything else, as long as it meets those two core requirements. There are other port requirements too JSYK.

    Should work fine for either source or recovery site but you don’t get things like DRS in essentials. I am not sure if the lack of vmotion in essentials would impact certain operations like change recovery host, possibly preseed.

    Probably worth having a conversation with your technical account team but my inclination is yes
