ZVM – In Place Upgrade Windows 2008 R2 to 2012 R2

Is the In Place Upgrade (Windows 2008 R2 to 2012 R2) is supported on the ZVM?
If not we are planning to roll out Windows 2019 and move ZVM from 2008 R2 to 2019 servers.
What will be the process of migrating the Zerto (ZVM) from 2008 to 2019 servers?

Hi There,

Regarding upgrading the ZVM OS, please refer to KB:

Regarding your second question, the ZVM can’t be moved from where it has been installed. The best way to go would be to export VPG settings, uninstall Zerto, Install again on desired VM and import the settings using recovery disks as preseed.

Please note, if this is a ‘small’ environment, then you can always re-protect the VMs from start.
