Site Pairing and VM moves

    Do you need to have two sites (vcenters) paired in order to move a vm from one site to the other.  Not sure if there will be ongoing replication setup for the VM. At this time its just a move.

    Hi,

    This is Kalsang from Zerto.

    What’s your current setup of Zerto? In an Enterprise environment, they usually have two vCs having two ZVMs paired and they do the move operation.

    If you’re looking to migrate from one vC DC to another vC DC then you would need to set up 1 ZVM in each vC and then perform the move.

    When performing the move there won’t be any checkpoints being created as it will use the last/latest checkpoint and power down the VM while the move operation, So no ongoing replication during that time.
