IO Throttling

  • Our previous admin turned on settings and I am not sure that they should be on. Under Performance and Throttling – use the following only when directed by Zerto support – Bandwidth Regulation and IO Throttling are on.
Should these be turned off? If no, why are they on?

Hi there, this is Matt from Zerto.

The Advanced Bandwidth settings are enabled by default. The default values are to have both Regulation and Throttling enabled, so that Zerto does not use up your entire network, with Bad IO Latency VM set to 40 and Requested Duration (ms) set to 5000.

    Does this make sense?
