Find Orphan / disconnected VMDKs

    Is there a method I can use to find VMDKs that are used by Zerto?  I found two orphaned VMDKs today accidentally and would love to be able to search my datastores and see if there are others that are not associated with a VPG.  I’ll do it manually if I have too I just need to get a list of VMDKs used by Zerto.  I can then  scan all the datastores for VMDKs and compare results.

    Thoughts?  Suggestions?

    I use RV tools and check the health tab.  it should show VRA’s with any associated VMDKs.  anything not listed under VRA’s would be orphaned/zombie vmdk files.

    any update on this, do we have any available tool or script to find the zombie/orphaned disk from datastore?

    For VMs that were previously protected with Zerto and the VPG was deleted / VM was removed from a VPG but (in both cases) the user selected to retain the disks (typically for preseeding) then there is an event for that in Zerto so the user has info on where the disk is (so they can use it for preseeding later for example): http://s3.amazonaws.com/zertodownload_docs/Latest/Zerto%20Virtual%20Replication%20Zerto%20Virtual%20Manager%20%28ZVM%29%20-%20vSphere%20Online%20Help/index.html#page/ErrorsGuide%2FEvents_ALL.4.33.html%23wwconnect_header
