Automatic Failover?

    Hello – an interesting use-case was brought up for a non-DR scenario. I have a VPG setup for local replication at a site and was wondering if there’s a way to trigger an automatic failover if the source VM becomes unavailable due to crash, kernel panic, BSOD, etc within Zerto? Could probably script this to run checks on the box and trigger a failover via PS script/API if it’s unavailable but wanted to see if there’s a way to do this out of the box.

    Hey Thomas,

    Zerto does not automatically do failovers. However, if you have a monitoring platform that can detect the scenarios that you are talking about… you could have it trigger the failover process via our API’s (either REST or Powershell).
