after a re-install, I have a new recovery site with license set up (& vra) and after building new the source site, selecting the ‘pair to site with a license’, I got an failed pairing error about ‘trying to pair to itself”. tried using the IP and FQDN of the recovery site zerto zvm. ip and fqdn ping works. no firewalls on either zvm. port 9081 connects from source site to recovery site zvm with telnet. firewall tech says there is no blocking on wan link.
