7.0 compatibility with Windows 7

  • Can I replicate a Windows 7 VM using Zerto 7.0?  I plan to upgrade it to Win 10 later this year but don’t know if I’ll have to do that prior to upgrading to Zerto 7.0.

    Hello,

    Contara from Zerto Support.

Currently Zerto is only supporting Windows 7.0, 8, 8.1 re-IP in Azure base from the Interoperability Matrix.  See a below link:

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Additional information:

Environment: VMWare to VMWare OS: Windows 7

Our interoperability matrix shows: “Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 (all versions), 2019” are supported for Re-IP. It doesn’t mention Windows 7.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the comment.  We actually do have a single Windows 7 VM being replicated Vmware to Vmware via Zerto 6.5.  Though it sounds like it doesn’t fall under support.  That said, I have found this to no longer be an issue since this single Windows 7 instance is being decommissioned.  Thank you.
