Purpose

Sometimes, connections from the Zerto Virtual Manager are unavailable to the internet and the log bundles must be uploaded manually. The Zerto Manual Log Bundle Uploader Utility provides a command line tool to assist with the upload process.

Solution


The Zerto Manual Log Bundle Uploader Utility can be downloaded via the following link:
Note: the Zerto Manual Log Bundle Uploader Utility requires .NET 4 installed on the machine it is being used on.
Once downloaded, place the utility on the client machine where the Zerto Support log bundle is located. The Zerto Manual Log Bundle Uploader Utility is a command line tool with the following syntax:
Usage: LogBundleUploader.exe <us/emea> <ftp/http/https> <filepath>
  • <us/emea> - The FTP site to upload the log bundle to.
  • <ftp/http/https> - The protocol to use for the upload
  • <filepath> - The location of the log bundle

Examples:
The following will use the utility located at "C:Zerto Log Bundle UploaderLogBundleUploader.exe" to upload the file "Zerto_SupportLogs_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-AM_My_Company_Name.zip" from the desktop to the US FTP server via FTP.

C:UsersMyUserDesktop> "C:Zerto Log Bundle UploaderLogBundleUploader.exe" us ftp "C:UsersMyUserDesktopZerto_SupportLogs_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-AM_My_Company_Name.zip"

 

The following will use the utility located in the current working directory to upload the file "Zerto_SupportLogs_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-AM_My_Company_Name.zip" from the C: drive to the EMEA FTP server via HTTPS.

C:Zerto Log Bundle Uploader> LogBundleUploader.exe emea https "C:Zerto_SupportLogs_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-AM_My_Company_Name.zip"
