VRA cannot be booted due to VMDK_2 not being able to expand

Viewed 188 times

Summary

When a VRA cannot boot because of the following alert: "There is no more space for virtual disk [VRA name].vmdk_2", this means the datastores has a journal on it that is completely full.

Please click on the VRA from vSphere and check the datastores on the Summary tab which are presented to the right. If any of these are reporting 0% available storage space, this is the issue. If you do not see the problematic datastore, please rescan the datastores and check again.
The VRA will not boot and vSphere will report that Disk number has no more space on it:

Steps

To resolve this, please either expand the problematic datastore or move some of its files to a different datastore in order to free up more space.
