Problem with VM List Being Empty When Viewing VPG Settings

Summary

After creating a VPG via the API, administrators my see that the VM List in the VPG Settings is empty.

Root Cause

When an administrator uses the APIs to create a VPG, there is a known issue where the public cloud settings in the database were being set improperly, typically when no cloud environment is in use.

Symptoms

While running Zerto 7.5 Update 1 or earlier, when an administrator clicks on a VPG to view the VPG details and clicks on the VM tab, the VM list will be empty.

Solution

To resolve this issue, there are two options.

Option 1:

Upgrade Zerto environment to 7.5 Update 2 or later as a permanent fix was implemented.

Option 2:

Contact Zerto Support to assist with a database edit to clear out the erroneous entries.
