How to use the MyZerto University and what courses are available for you

The MyZerto university provides its users the opportunity to gain in-depth Zerto knowledge through a series of courses, certifications, and hands-on labs.

Steps

All steps below are described in the following Demo Video
  1. Please log into the myZerto portal (the user should be associated with your company domain)
  2. Please navigate to the “Training” tab and choose the “Zerto University” option.
  1. When logged into Zerto University please navigate to the left corner of the screen, click on the “User Menu” and then choose the “My Courses and Learning Plans” option.
  1. You will then be able to see different courses that are suitable for your Zerto needs. We would recommend starting with the foundational courses that are available to all users in order to gain an understanding of what Zerto is, and then to move on to the professional courses that are relevant to your needs.
  2. In case you are a guest user you will be able to complete the following courses:
    1. Intro to IT Resilience - To find this course please search for it in the search field, as it doesn’t appear in the learning plan. This course is a foundational course that explains what IT resilience is and why it’s so important for businesses today.
    2. Zerto Certified Associate: Foundations - This course is a foundational course that serves as an introduction to Zerto’s terminology, concepts, features, and workflows. After passing the exam of the course, you will be granted a certification.
    3. Other courses may be added on an ongoing basis, so check back frequently to see what’s new!
  3. In case you are a ‘Customer’ you will be able to complete those additional courses:
    1. ZCP: Enterprise Engineer – This course will provide you a deeper understanding of Zerto’s components (such as ZVM, VPG, journal), installation, setup, recovery operations (and their workflows), and management of the Zerto environment. After passing the exam of the course, you will be granted a certification.
    2. ZCP: Azure – This course is intended for customers that are using Azure in their environment. This course covers the installation, setup, and management of Zerto with Microsoft Azure. In order to receive the certificate, you will have to complete an exam and a hands-on lab[KC1] .
    3. Other courses may be added on an ongoing basis, so check back frequently to see what’s new!
  4. In case you are a ‘Partner’ you will be able to complete those additional courses:
    1. ZCP: Sales – This course prepares you to sell Zerto and will cover subjects such as messaging, positioning, what is Zerto and how to sell it, competitive analysis, etc. At the end of the course, you will complete an exam and receive a certification.
    2. ZCP for Cloud Service Providers – This will course inform you how to set up and manage disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and intra-cloud disaster recovery (ICDR) with Zerto. At the end of the course, you will be granted a certificate.
    3. Other courses may be added on an ongoing basis, so check back frequently to see what’s new!

After you complete an exam successfully, you will be eligible to get a certification. There are Zerto certificates and for courses that were introduced in 2020, there are also certification badges through a service called Credly. The courses that provide you a Credly badge are the following: Zerto Certified Associate: Foundations, ZCP: Enterprise Engineer, and ZCP: Azure.


In order to get your Credly badge you must follow the following steps:

  1. After the exam, you will be promoted to the following page:
  1. Please click on the link. If you don’t have an account in Credly you will need to create a new one (this service is free of charge).
  2. After you are logged into ‘Credly’ with a verified user you will receive the following message:
  3. In the following minutes, you will be receiving a badge. You will be able to share it on your LinkedIn page for example.

  1. The course you completed will appear under the “Certifications” tab, in the “Completed Training” section.
