Error: “SSH authorized key for root user has been modified” When Installing a VRA
Viewed 112 times
An administrator may run into an error regarding SSH authorized keys when installing a VRA.
In the process of installing the VRA with VIB, the key is added to the "authorized keys" list in ESXi host. The ZVM requires SSH access to the ESXi host for loading the driver (after installation & after host reboot). So this access needs to be kept as long as Zerto is installed on that host.
When attempting to install a VRA, the task fails with the below error:
SSH authorized key for root user has been modified
To resolve the issue, simply add the authorized SSH key to the host profile configuration. The key can be found on the ESXi host at location /etc/ssh/keys-root/authorized_keys.
