Disk space usage for ZVM Log retention

Viewed 982 times

Starting from 8.0U4 and 8.5U1, we are keeping as many logs as we can (disk space-wise) to accommodate 72H. In 8.0U4/ 8.5U1, Zerto will always leave 2GB of free space and stop collecting logs when hitting that threshold. Note that ZVM standard operations can still fill the space up, just like before this feature. In 8.5U2, the threshold is increased to 3GB.

We monitor the history vs disk space and if we see that we can't have 72H we issue an alert telling the customer to increase disk space on their ZVM. in 8.5U2 we will also include in the alert the exact amount of required additional space.
