AWS VPGs Stuck In Bitmap Syncing After Reboot of ZCA

Root Cause

Permissions for the S3 bucket has changed or have been removed.

Symptoms

  • Customer is replicating to AWS
  • VPG reports stuck in a bitmap sync (no activity) with the GUI error reported as¬†RecoveryOrLogStorageError
  • ZCA Vra Logs report the following error:
2020-01-09 21:25:58.325,Error,5184,NON,S3Proxy,listObjects,xS3Object GET failed

Solution

Ensure and add AmazonS3FullAccess to the ZCA user from the AWS IAM Portal.
