The target port groups expected in the VPG configuration(s) need to exist. It does not matter whether those port groups are provided with standard switching or distributed switching. It’s also worth noting that recovery can be tested, as can those target networks, using the Failover Test operation, without impacting the customer’s VMs or ongoing replication.

Zerto does not support standalone ESXi. A vCenter is mandatory.
