Can Zerto protect vCenter Appliances?

  • Has anyone tried putting vCenter Appliances into a VPG for replication and potential recovery? Would this work and is it supported? Primary idea is to have a vCenter appliance for Horizon View (which would not be a paired ZVR vCenter instance) protected for recovery if needed.

This should work. We’ve had customers do similar things like this.

    Of course, test it first!

Excellent, I’ll setup a test and see how it goes. I agree, it should work, was curious to know if anyone had already tried. Thanks for the reply.

An appliance is nothing different than any other VM with the same folder structure (VMDK’s). Zerto replicates the data the same way.
