    • Resize disk on VMware

After resize Windows Volume on VMware, will Zerto do Delta Sync? Will this procedure consume bandwidth? Does it take a long time?

    • windows mount points?

Hello, I haven’t tested this but was curious if anyone else knows how Windows mount points are handled in replication to a recovery site. We typically build SQL servers using a small root mount point drive with VMDK mount points “hanging” off the root mount point for data/logs/tempdb. Since they are VMDK’s and not RDM’s […]

    • VPG to VApp dependuncy

Hello, With the new 5.5 release of Zerto, is the VPG to VApp (VCD) dependency still in effect as with earlier versions? Do we now have the capability to select VMs from different VApps and assign to the same VPG?

    • almost 2020 – is Orchestrator worth the ‘effort’ ?

Good day folks….are you folks who were messing with this 11/2018 still running the Orchestrator ….or just went and kicked it to the curb ? certainly this little OVA/VM/app SEEMS like it’d do that which is a ‘manual process’ and i’d LOVE the automation part but….is it just way too much of a ‘sorta unsupported […]

    • Large Scale Implementation Q/A

We are currently implementing a Zerto 7.5 Build-1 environment on ESXi 6.7.0.3.  Managing in the neighborhood of 300+ Production Level VM’s and wanted to get feed back from environment implementations of larger scale. What you’re doing that works, how your building out VPG’s, Pit falls, Nice to Knows, and the like.

    • Zerto Failover

Hello Support,   We performed an actual failover and realized that after the failover with reverse protection and committing to the failover that full delta sync is done. Due to the size of the environment and bandwidth restrictions, this is unacceptable for us replicating IIS web servers, SQL Databases, and considering the size of the […]

    • Frequent VPG Bitmap Syncing

Recently a couple of my VPGs are frequently showing a state of bitmap syncing and it takes several hours to recover.  The reason given (when I click on the ?) is Protected VRA congestion.  I don’t believe it is being caused by WAN congestion as the WAN traffic graphs show bandwidth utilization well below the […]

    • Promotion & Delta sync after DR failover?

Hi, Just wondering what is happening in these steps after a DR failover: Promotion – given that it has powered the vm on already and it is available on the network, what is the promotion process actually doing at this stage as the failover has already completed? Delta Sync – this can take a while […]

    • How do you resolve disk space discrepancies?

Zerto/vSphere is reporting one of my volumes as full and therefore cannot write to journal disk.  However, my array (HPE Nimble) reports that there is free space.  I understand that this is at least partially due to the array compression but vSphere doesn’t account for that.  It just sees a full volume.  This is happening […]

    • RE-IP Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0

Hi, we’re running Zerto v7.0 Update2. According to the ZVR Operability Matrix, it supports the re-IP of RHEL versions 5-7x. Our VM is running RHEL v8.0 and it’s got VMware Tools running in it. We tried a failover test but Zerto was unable to change its IP address to what we had configured in its […]

    • Scsi controller swapped

While migrating SQL cluster one of the scsi controller got swapped(1:0 & 2:0) while other (1:1 & 2:1) remain intact. Also, our drives numbers changed in vCenter after migration. Is there any possible reason why this could have happened. Ajay

    • VMware high availability

When we perform a “failover” operation with a VGP, is there a way to doing this transparently? Current behavior is that VM is created in the recovery site, but system aparently reboot… It is not a High-Availability desired behavior.
