    • Failover Testing with One-to-Many Replication

What are the best practices/steps for testing Zerto protection to a same-market resource pool when the VMs protected are in a one-to-many configuration? Will this testing break the VPG connection to the cross-market location? Should we use Reverse Replication or Replication in Reverse for this test? We have a customer test coming up on the […]

    • Live Failover – Does this create new Vmware Machin

Live Failover – Does this create new Vmware Machine ID’s in the Vmware database? Customer has programs like backup that rely on Vmware Machine ID. Last time when customer did failover, Vmware ID’s changed when VM’s failed back. Some programs like backup had to be reconfigured since Vmware ID changed.

    • Journal File Level Restores with LINUX

I know there’s a limitation with Journal File Level Restores and LINUX file systems, but is there any way around it?  We’d like to use Zerto to restore a database on a SUSE LINUX VM to our recovery site.

    • Can hostname be changed without affecting use of p

We have 2 sites, with 4 linked VCS instances (1 primary and 3 secondary) with Zerto deployed for each vCenter, and wish to add these VSIs to the VCS AD domain, which requires unique short names for the VSIs. When VCS deploys the ZVM machines they appear to have the same short name (zerto) albeit […]

    • Cannot add VM to VPG

I created a VPG and added a VM to it.  There were sync issues and I also needed to remove one of the drives to free up space.  So I deleted the VPG and when I went to create a new one, the VM wasn’t available for me to select.

    • Journal Hard Size Limit

We do not have that much space left on our storages and I am trying to find out why. I found out that all our Hard Size Limits are set to unlimited (with a Journal History of 1 day). Does that mean that the Journal wont “cut off” after the 1 day Journal History and […]

    • Problem with test-recovery created VM

During a recent failover test, I was copying a large amount of Data to the recovered VM, about 600 GB. However during the file copy, the VM became un-responsive and I could not even reboot the VM. I ended the test and tried a few more times but each time the same result. Eventually I […]
