    • Understanding LTR Process

Just getting started playing around with the new long term retention features in Zerto 7 and had a few questions around data processing. From the webinar, the way I understand it to work is that when the scheduled retention process runs, the DSS process on the ZVM essentially streams the data from the journal to […]

    • protect SQL AlwaysOn group

Hello, Is it supported/recommended to protect a SQL Always On group with Zerto?  Looking into deploying Always On groups instead of failover cluster with active/passive replicas in the same datacenter.  For DR, assuming you did not want to or could not add another replica, would you protect the primary replica VM with Zerto?  Would it […]

    • Zerto journaling / checkpoints

I am trying to reduce the size of the journal without reducing the time span that it records. How frequently does Zerto record checkpoints? Is this continuous with every write on the source system? Is there a way to change the time between the writing of the checkpoints? Does “Target RPO alert” have any impact […]

    • Failover Servers With Multiple IP Addresses

A few weeks back we tested the replication on a few web servers by failing the servers over to our DR site. Once the servers were online we brought them back. After the test was complete, I noticed that our websites were down. We discovered that within the Advanced TCP/IP settings on the NIC  multiple […]

    • Migrating / replicating MS Exchange

Hi guys, is there a specific way to migrate/replicate an MS Exchange server? When are currently replicating an Exchange VM to another site, but when we bring it on the other side the databases wont mount as they are in a “dirty” state, meaning they are in a crash consistent state.

    • Too many alerts

Hi, We need a way of reducing the alerts we get from Zerto. Everytime there is any sort of outage i get about 20 alerts. This is no good for our first line engineers who check the backups/replication jobs every day and very annoying for me. We need to be able to customise the alerts, […]

Hi, Can someone give me some explanations on impacts of performing a Moving of a VM either out of a VPG or between VPGS. To be specific, I understand the concept that if you move a VM out of a VPG it will stop being protected. But what happens to any previous data in the […]

    • VPG Delay power on during move.

So fairly new to zerto but extra large environment.. Vmware to Vmware.   Every 6 months we transition a departments vms to an alternate site.  But we also move the network as well.  So before zerto.  We would have the vms powered down, swing the networks, swing the vms with SRM/storage rep then power them up.  […]
