Driving Enterprise Resilience at Microsoft Ignite 2017

October 3, 2017

One week, 26,000 attendees, hundreds of new faces, long days and even longer nights.  No, I’m not talking about your freshman orientation week.  I’m talking about last week’s Microsoft Ignite conference in beautiful Orlando, Florida.  Last week, Zerto was at Ignite showcasing our award-winning IT Resilience technology, Zerto Virtual Replication (ZVR).  We were especially excited for this year’s conference because our recent release enables enterprises to bi-directionally replicate any virtual workload to and from Microsoft Azure. This seemed to be a key topic through out the week as over 275 attendees joined us to see Zerto in action.  If you aren’t familiar with our solution, ZVR enables companies to get one step closer to resilience strategy that embraces both digital transformation and the hybrid cloud.

Holding true to our reputation, Zerto hosted a rockin’ appreciation party for our community at the Tin Roof Bar on Wednesday complete with premium whiskey tastings, live music, and hand rolled cigars for the aficionados out there.  I wasn’t aware that some people in our family could move like that!  Unfortunately, there are always people that come up to us the next day and say, “man, I wish I came to your guys’ party.”  I’ll say it once here folks, Zerto throws the best parties during tradeshow season.  They are events that you simply don’t miss.

Zerto’s RedWed prize raffle was extremely successful this year.  Over 250 people donning their traditional Zerto T’s flocked to booth 833 to try and win coveted prizes.  Nintendo Switches™, Bose speakers, predator drones, $500 gift cards and more were all up for grabs this year.  Congratulations to the lucky few that walked away from Ignite with some … elevated swag.

Finally, attendee’s gathered at a top attended session, “Public Cloud: Can you move between environments?”, led by Zerto’s Sr. Tech Architect, Shannon Snowden. He covered highlights of physical datacenter migrations using Azure as an integral part of the forklift move. He demonstrated using Azure to run the VMs while the physical datacenter was moved from one location to another. If you missed it or are interested in learning more visit our ZVR for Microsoft Azure page here and sign-up for a demo.

If you’re also part of the AWS community, and missed us at Ignite, be sure to stay tuned for Zerto’s activities at AWS re:Invent 2017 on November 27 in Las Vegas!
